Trainer of the Week: Andy Elliott

Andy’s story

As most boys, my childhood dream was to become a Professional Footballer. Professional Football seemed the career I was heading for until a series of injuries forced me to look elsewhere for a profession. I love working with people and helping them achieve life changing results so the obvious option was to be to become a Personal Trainer.

I have first-hand experience of how hard making changes can be when there are other factors such as health issues, injuries and dietary changes to deal with. My mother suffered with a number of injuries and health problems following complications from a routine operation, and this along with the obesity of my brothers and my own sporting injuries made fitness my number one priority.

I spent 4 years at the College of Sporting Excellence in Loughborough and gained a number of fitness qualifications, including FASTER Functional Education with a  Diploma in Functional Performance and Diploma in Functional Therapy.

Since then I've founded IDREAM fitness, I've been a Personal Training Advisor to Fitness First and trained a total of 45 Personal Trainers to date.

Andy is based at the Faster Studio Hyde Park, London.
