I’m going to spin it around, what if you knew what you were going to get from a box? You could make your own custom made box of successful weight loss!
Whenever we are given a box of chocolates we always turn to our favourite ones and the same goes for our weight loss habits. We always go back to one or two things that have worked for us in the past. I want you to start thinking about why you go back, if you have done them before, why do you need to turn to them again? Are they unsustainable and unrealistic in the long term?
I’m going to share my own successful tips which I use with my clients to achieve their own custom made box of successful weight loss ‘chocolates’.
Customising your box means making these your new favourite habits for weight loss. These are the 'chocolates' that should be in every box!
1. Move more
Move more this could be parking further away, going for a 30 minute walk at lunch or taking the stairs rather than the lift. Make these small changes and soon you'll be moving more than you ever thought possible.
2. Drink plenty of fluid
Water has no calories and can make you feel full as your body cannot distinguish between hunger and thirst. The next time you feel hungry try and drink a glass of water wait 20 minutes and see if you are still hungry.
3. Portion size
It's no secret that portion size can have a big impact. As a rough guide use parts of your hand to indicate whether the right food amount is going on your plate.
Carbohydrates - a closed fist
Protein - a palm size
Vegetables - a palm size
Follow these simple top tips and you will create the best opportunity to achieve successful weight reduction and see the results you want.
