Knee Injuries
Think you may have sprained the ligament that runs down the inside of your knee?
Pain is usually felt on the inside border of the knee and difficulty with walking is common, swelling may progress over a 24 hour period and the knee may also feel weak as ligaments are there for control and balance.
Protect the knee until initial treatment commences, Rest from your current activity, apply Ice, Compress with tubi grip and finally Elevate your leg when resting which all helps to control swelling.
Do not apply heat to the injured area as this will prolong your recovery. Minor sprains may resolve in two weeks where as more significant sprains will take longer.
