Get ready for Janathon

Get ready for Janathon

As the days get colder and nights darker it gets harder to get motivated. So whilst you enjoy the parties and the festive food, give your New Year a kick-start by getting involved with Janathon.

What is a Janathon?
Janathon is the colder brother of Juneathon. It started life as a running competition but if you can't or don't want to run every day, you can still join in by cycling, walking, rowing, weights, swimming, dancing, yoga, pilates, making snowmen!  Just do something every day in January.

Get involved by registering on the Janathon site.

Then what?
Got a blog? Write about your daily exercise within 24 hours. You don't have to write a 20,000 word dissertation but a bit more than 'Today I ran 3 miles' would be good. You are also encouraged to post about it on Twitter using the #janathon tag, or on the Janathon Facebook page. If you don't already have a blog, sign up for one free at Wordpress blogger or posterous. Don’t worry it’s easy!

Anything else?

Yes. Janathon is about the people who take part so it would be great if you could visit as many other blogs as you can and leave comments in support.

Janathon is organised by Cathy White who blogs at www.jog-blog.co.uk, follow her on twitter @jogblog

We’ll also be encouraging you to guest post here, so if you would like to share your Janathon experiences with HealthClubTV get in touch with us via twitter, facebook or by good old fashioned email and we’ll be in touch.
